Rotate Feature
The NS-DPF8 has a rotate feature to orient the photos in landscape or portrait mode. This is done manually by the user as needed for each photo. This rotated setting is only maintained if the photo is copied on the internal memory. It will not remain in place if the rotate mode was applied to the photo residing in the customer’s flash media card.
Internal Clock
There has been reports of some of the frames not retaining time on the internal clock. The DPF does support clock/calendar function and will retain the time if unplugged. There is a coin-sized battery in the lower back of the DPF that maintains time when power is removed. If you are experiencing issues with this function, the remedy may be one of the following:
a) check that the battery is inserted and is fresh.
b) check that the battery is in place with the + side facing the back of the frame.
c) reset the DPF to “Factory Default Mode” using the Setup menu in “Select Card” screen.
If none of these remedy the problem, the battery backup circuit is not functioning properly and unit needs to be fixed. The unit will still keep time if always plugged in.
